I am over The Apprentice. After last night's back-to-back piece-of-crap episodes, I am done with it. Between the constant non-subtle advertising that takes place and the ridiculousness of the contestants themselves, I am officially resigning from watching.
They were fishing for conflict in these episodes, and these dead weight competitors could barely muster enough A-type personality conflicts to make anything remotely interesting. In one scene, Bill (the first apprentice) came into a scene and basically tried to start a fight - "Has he been a good leader?" after ripping on the guy for being late on starting to paint a room. Did I just say that outloud?
And the "moment" where they give the kid with cancer a trip to Toys R Us for a shopping spree. I mean, if they had tried any harder to make it more "extreme makeover"-ish, it would have been really laughable. I mean, hearing Trump try to stammer while talking to the little girl who's dying of cancer, "umm... well, anyway, we bought you a bunch of toys, so.. good luck with the whole dying thing." Ridiculous.
And ultimately, there is not one single contestant who even remotely comes close to the caliber of previous apprentices. I mean is there anyone who should just be fired right now from sheer incompetence?
So on behalf of all sane reality show watchers, Trump, you're fired. You hear that, television shows? There's an opening in my week - feel free to woo me.
