Just got finished reading The DaVinci Code, in preparation for a three week series on the film we'll be doing at CCC starting the first weekend in June. It's a pretty good book, and while I think the movie will be good because it's Ron Howard and Tom Hanks, the formula for a it is pretty typical - the only shock value in the movie is the whole plot about how Mary Magdalene is really blah blah blah...
So here's the formula as far as I can see it:
The Davinci Code = 1 part The Pelican Brief, 1 part Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, a dash of The Last Temptation of Christ on the side, with a little Strange Brew to wash it down.
