So I'm sitting at the arts conference, and snuck into my good friend Mark Batterson's "Right-Brained Teaching" breakout. I'm sitting way in the back when he launches into his ten things that make up Right-Brained teaching. The first, he says, is to have "One Big Idea." Sound familiar?
He appropriately credits Dave Ferguson as the author of the book, and was very nice in his complimentary language about how important it is to have one Big Idea, and then seems to move on. At this moment, he sees me and recognizes me. He stops everything and yells "ERIC!" at full volume.
He then proceeds to have me stand up and wave, gives me credit for co-writing the book, and asks everyone to buy a copy at amazon.com. I love this guy!
Can't wait for people to buy the CD audio of this session and get shocked out of their skulls when they hear Mark scream "Eric." Even more so if that person's name happens to be Eric.
