Timmy and the Professor

Here is the latest installment of "Timmy and the Professor" - we have used this tried and true parody format in the past to talk to kids, and adults, about things like "velocity"... Today, the lesson is about Patience as we wrap up our series on Proverbs, "Making Life Work." And we produced it to be shown both in the Adult services and for Kids' City - Enjoy!

A Couple of Vids

Haven't had a chance to post these two, so I'm playing a bit of catch-up. These shorts are from the last two weekend services - the first video from this past weekend: Under the heading of "Choosing Friends" we get to see probably the world's worst small group leader:

Next up: From two weeks ago, under the heading of "how to tell a lie from the truth", we offer up these modern interpretations of lying metaphors, revealing that "lies are stranger than fiction." Enjoy!

Frosted Wisdom-Wheats

Last weekend we began our "Making Life Work" series with the topic "Trust God", and kicked it off with a commercial spoof promising instant wisdom by way of cereal... So enjoy, it features my daughter Sadie as one of the quarreling daughters (she's on the right)... Did anybody NOT get the Solomon cutting-the-doll-in-half reference?

Mark Batterson and the Arts Conference

So I'm sitting at the arts conference, and snuck into my good friend Mark Batterson's "Right-Brained Teaching" breakout. I'm sitting way in the back when he launches into his ten things that make up Right-Brained teaching. The first, he says, is to have "One Big Idea." Sound familiar?

He appropriately credits Dave Ferguson as the author of the book, and was very nice in his complimentary language about how important it is to have one Big Idea, and then seems to move on. At this moment, he sees me and recognizes me. He stops everything and yells "ERIC!" at full volume.

He then proceeds to have me stand up and wave, gives me credit for co-writing the book, and asks everyone to buy a copy at amazon.com. I love this guy!

Can't wait for people to buy the CD audio of this session and get shocked out of their skulls when they hear Mark scream "Eric." Even more so if that person's name happens to be Eric.

My Baggage

Kudos to Elic B, and TJ Friesen, as well as our talented actor Chris Heller for this video that was highly successful this weekend. We get a lot of play on our comic videos, and for good reason. But it's good to see that we can do "drama" too. Good stuff on finding freedom.

Life's Toughest Questions

Ltqwebbanner_2Community Christian, we need you! Help us decide the topics for our next series, "Life's Toughest Questions," by clicking here and giving us a suggestion for a topic. What is a "tough question" that you'd like us to try and answer, from a biblical perpective? Each week we'll be tabulating the results and the questions that get the most play will make it into the "top 3" and will become the foundation for our series.

And no, it's not like American Idol. The questions will not have to sing. But... the answers will probably include music...

Happy Easter - Watch This Video!

Hey all - Happy Easter! Here's the first installment of our series video for the Losing My Religion series which started this Easter Weekend. I think that we may have found our niche in the parody category - but we'll let you be the judge...
